Las Cabanes is family friendly self catering gite accommodation for large groups with private pool in South West France in a private, peaceful oasis of calm.

Set in the Lot et Garonne region of SW France with local tourist attractions on your doorstep.

The Farmhouse is ideal for getting away from it all in beautiful French countryside but is also handily close to local amenities and attractions.

The villages of Le Temple Sur Lot and Castelmoron are only 3km away for the nearest boulangeries, bars and restaurants with access to the River Lot.

 The River Lot has river beaches, just the place for a picnic, paddling and fresh water swimming and with canoes and funky paddle boats available for hire.

Courtesy bikes are provided to explore the picturesque local area or pick up the morning croissants so guests can burn calories not fuel! 

For enthusastic chefs, there's plenty of tempting local french produce to be discovered at the bustling local food markets. Everything from wines, meats and cheeses through to the freshest fruit and veg, locally produced to delight even the most discerning foodie. And once back home the outdoor summer kitchen means outdoor food prep is a joy.

To stock up on essential shopping, there are four supermarkets within 15 minutes drive but there are also local artisan shops and markets, a highlight in themselves.

If you fancy eating out there are many excellent local restaurants, takeways or night markets in the area to suit all budgets and tastes.

Throughout the summer, evening markets also have a friendly family atmosphere for a memorable musical night out, sampling local delicacies and the fine regional wines whilst listening to the sounds of live music.

South West France boasts some of the best vineyards in the country from the famous Bordeaux wines through to Monbazillac white so there are chateaux, vineyards and ‘caves’ offering tastings and tours.

The region is picturesque and still undiscovered and embraces the art of slow living so there are lots of beautiful villages, chateaux and cafés to discover on your doorstep as well as hundreds of tourist activities to discover.

The wonderful water lily ornamental gardens and restaurants/café in our local village are highly recommended.

There are several Golf courses nearby and club and buggy hire is available.

Microlight flying and hot air ballooning are also possible in the area.

Fishing on the River Lot is excellent and well stocked.

For guests who can tear themselves away from Las Cabanes, there are a variety of family attractions nearby including two water parks with slides, pools, jacuzzis and cafe/bars within an hours drive. Parc Walligator is a theme park with rides and roller coasters. Several tree top adventure parks are a hit with all ages.

Z'animoland, happy forest and le chaudron magique are amongst the animal petting farms with added rides and entertainment. 

Pony trekking and riding facilities in the area too. There are underground caves to explore too. If go karting or paint ball is your thing that's available too.

If you fancy a spot of pampering there are spa treatments available in the local village or why not visit chateau Stelsia and combine a spa treatment with lunch at the fabulous bistro.
